Introduction
Kamui Connect (“the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Hohmann LLC, a Florida limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use Kamui Connect.
Kamui Connect is a private platform for professional cue-sports athletes affiliated with the Kamui sponsorship program. Access is by invitation only. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information, only as needed to operate the App:
Account information. When you sign in (via Sign in with Apple), we receive a unique identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email address. We also store profile details you provide, such as your display name, country, and profile photo.
Profile and activity information. Information you add within the App, including your athlete profile, equipment (“gear”) details, and your participation in program activities such as challenges, deliverables, and messages.
Social media information (only with your explicit consent). If you choose to connect a social media account (such as Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube), we access limited information from that account through the platform’s official API — such as your public profile information and engagement metrics (for example, post and follower statistics). We access only the information the platform authorizes and that you consent to share. You are never required to connect a social account, and you may disconnect it at any time.
Messages. Messages you send and receive within the App, to support communication between you and program administrators.
Technical information. Basic technical data necessary to operate the App reliably, such as device and session information.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect only to:
• Provide and operate the App and its features;
• Display your profile and activity to you and to authorized Kamui program administrators;
• Recognize and reflect your engagement within the sponsorship program;
• Enable communication between you and program administrators;
• Maintain the security and integrity of the App.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with advertisers. We do not use your information for advertising.
How Information Is Shared
Your information is accessible to authorized administrators of the Kamui sponsorship program, for the purpose of operating the program. We do not otherwise disclose your personal information, except:
• With service providers who help us operate the App (see below), under obligations of confidentiality;
• If required by law or to protect legal rights and safety.
Service Providers
We use trusted third-party services to operate the App, including:
• Cloudflare — hosting and data storage infrastructure;
• Apple — authentication (Sign in with Apple);
• Stream — in-app messaging functionality;
• Social media platforms (Meta/Instagram, TikTok, Google/YouTube) — only for the accounts you explicitly connect.
These providers process information only as necessary to provide their services to us.
Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to operate the program. If your participation ends, we may retain certain records for legitimate business and audit purposes, after which they are removed.
Your Rights and Choices
You may:
• Access or update your profile information within the App;
• Disconnect any connected social media account at any time, which stops further access to that account’s data;
• Request deletion of your account and associated personal information (see below).
Data Deletion Requests
To request deletion of your account and associated personal information, contact us at thorsten@thorstenhohmann.com. We will process verified deletion requests within a reasonable period, subject to any legal or legitimate business retention requirements. Upon deletion, information obtained from connected social media accounts is removed from our systems.
Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including secure authentication, encrypted connections, and access controls. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.
Children’s Privacy
Kamui Connect is intended for professional athletes and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
